Jing Yong Ye, Ph.D.

Jing Yong Ye, PhD, is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas, San Antonio, who holds 15 patents on a range of innovative technologies and has a Certificate in MBA from Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. His research is focused on the development of novel technologies for bioimaging (including photoacoustic imaging and fiber-based two-photon fluorescence imaging), optical biosensing, fabrication of different nanoparticles, as well as applications of those technologies for targeted drug delivery, cancer research, and endotoxin assays. Dr. Ye has served as a reviewer for federal funding agencies (NIH, NSF, FDA), state programs, as well as private foundations. In addition, he has also served on the advisory board for a biotech company and as a consultant for five companies.
